A new production of the Scottish musical play telling the story of three women from very different backgrounds who were united in loss at the time of the Tay Bridge disaster opens at Dundee Rep Theatre tomorrow (Thursday).
Five Pound & Twa Bairns runs at the theatre from Thursday, January 12 to Saturday, January 14 at 7.30 pm.
The three women have nothing in common but are united by the loss of a family member on the tragic night of December 28, 1879.
The show is written by Scottish playwright Mike Gibb, whose plays on Scottish themes include Mother of All Peoples, Clarinda and Doorways in Drumorty; music is by Mairi Paton.
