Popular theatre at its best

UNPRETENTIOUS, popular theatre at its deliriously enjoyable best.

That’s the description of Six Black Candles by Des Dillon, which runs at Dundee Rep Theatre on Thursday, April 28 and Friday, April 29.

It features six sisters, their maw and granny who gather to take revenge by witchcraft on Caroline’s wayward husband.

Then there’s six black candles, one black affronted Maw, two gallons of vodka, one crazy old Irish granny, a hitman, a pentangle and a frozen head in the fridge.

Enter one adulterous husband and one unsuspecting Catholic priest!

Find out the consequences next week!
