SCOTTISH band Skerryvore will perform at Dundee Rep Theatre on Friday, April 22 as part of their UK tour.

Formed in 2004 on the Isle of Tiree in Scotland’s Inner Hebrides, Skerryvore are renowned for their energetic performances home and abroad.

From traditional roots the band has developed both in size and sound to create a unique fusion of their traditional music and songs with the urban sounds of rock and funk.

With outstanding musicianship and the mesmerising voice of singer Alex Dalglish, Skerryvore have gripped audiences across the world from Chicago to Beijing and have been the highlight of many top international festivals including Scotland’s premier rock festival T in the Park.

With blazing bagpipes, fiddle and accordions, Skerryvore’s unique electrically fused funky rhythms unites folk music and urban rock, spreading the sounds of Scotland to the world. Later this month Skerryvore will support The Saw Doctors at Gosport and Fareham Easter Festival.
