A NIGHT of ‘60s and ‘70s nostalgia will have the Kirriemuir Town Hall jumping on Saturday, February 9.
Jim Glendinning of The Roods Bar has booked Them Beatles for the Little Red Town for one night only - and it promises to be a night of non-stop music to remember.
The internationally renowned tribute band group are Clark Gilmour (John Lennon); Joe Kane (Paul McCartney); Craig McGown (George Harrison) and Grahame Critcher (Ringo Starr).
Them Beatles create a concert experience of The Beatles throughout their career: from the early days of “The Cavern Club” and “Beatlemania” to the mind bending psychedelic period of Sergeant Pepper through to the “Apple Years” and the final “Rooftop concert” in 1969.
The whole show is performed in character with those familiar accents and with a fun and convincing manner.
Growing up as the son of a successful Beatles impersonator, becoming a Beatles tribute artist was an inevitable lifelong ambition for Clark. Joe’s fate as a musician was sealed at the age of 11 when a chance Saturday afternoon at home brought the Technicolour Pop-Art wonder of The Beatles second movie ‘Help!’ into his life. whilst being the youngest member of Them Beatles, Craig was the natural selection for George Harrison in the group. His resemblance and musicianship captures the youthful energy and spirit of the ‘quiet Beatle’. Grahame has developed a strong drumming technique which has allowed him to perform many genres across his career and turn his hand to almost anything rhythmic. Tickets from the Roods Bar on 01575 572640.
