A once-in a lifetime opportunity to sing with opera diva Lesley Garrett is the tempting offer being made by the Arbroath Male Voice Choir.
Britain’s most popular soprano is the special guest at their annual concert dates next March in the Webster Memorial Theatre and the choir is looking to recruit new members for what will be a special and memorable occasion.
Choir president Dr Richard Irvine said the choir was now in its 77th year of making music.
He said: “Lesley is going to make this one extra special.
“This is an excellent and very exciting time to join the choir; we’re currently looking for extra tenors and basses to swell the ranks.
“You’ll be assured of a warm and friendly welcome.
“We don’t have a formal audition, but you must be enthusiastic to learning, willing to have fun and sing in tune!”
He explained choir singing is a superb physical exercise and a good mental work-out too - so there are no excuses for not giving it a go!
He continued: “How many times do you get the chance to sing with an international superstar?
“It’s a once in a life-time opportunity!”
Lesley Garrett is Britain’s most popular soprano, regularly appearing in opera, concerts and on television.
Internationally she has performed throughout Europe, the USA, Australia, Russia, Brazil, Japan, Malaysia, Taiwan and South Korea.

As a recording artist she has 11 solo CD’s to her credit.
In addition to their special concert with Lesley Garrett, the choir also have several smaller charity and their popular Christmas concerts planned.
The choir draws members from across Angus, Dundee and the Mearns.
It began its rehearsals on Monday evening in Knox’s Church Hall, Howard Street, Arbroath.
