Montrose singer/songwriter Gary Anderson will be among a host of fabulous performers at Europe’s largest winter fringe festival later this month.
Gary, who is well-known on the Angus circuit and beyond, has been invited to play at Big Burns Supper (BBS) in Dumfries.
Big Burns Supper 2015 is a nine-day festival of contemporary and traditional culture and a huge public celebration of the birthday of Scotland’s national Bard, Robert Burns.
Graham Main, BBS Festival Artistic Director, said: “Big Burns Supper is an amazingly colourful and fun festival and we are really looking forward to welcoming Gary to take centre stage at our main venue.
“Gary mixes his own original material with folk, rock and country covers, all stripped down to great effect using only his voice and a guitar. In short it’ll be great, so come and join us in Dumfries.”
Having grown up in Montrose Gary has played with various bands around the area since he was 16. He has a wealth of experience covering a wide range of instruments and genres. You can catch him at the Spiegeltent – the BBS main venue on Thursday, January 29 at 5 p.m.
