A foot-tapping evening of traditional and modern folk music is on offer at Hospitalfield House in Arbroath this month with the town’s renowned Abbey Folk Club.
Originating in the 60s and well known for its ten year run between the Seaforth and Windmill Hotels, the line-up has included famous members Billy Connolly, Rab Noakes and Barbara Dixon.
Organised by Brenda MacLeod, the Friday night’s entertainment on Friday, June 15 will feature Janet Williamson, The Barrack Brothers, Andrew Webster, Nick Hunter, Dennis Arnot, Graeme Sutherland, Howard Evans, Ian Grimmond, Tony Simpson and John Knox.

Meanwhile, the regular series of house tours started today (Wednesday).
This regular new series of house tours is open to all on the first Wednesday of every month. Afternoon tea, coffee and biscuits are available and the tour will commence and end with discussion on the exterior of the building (albeit briefly), so wear appropriate clothing. The tours cost £5 and run from 2.30 to 4.30 pm.
