Dundee gig for Skerryvore

SKERRYVORE’S drummer Fraser West is ‘disappointed’ that so far a Montrose date has not been fitted into their 2012 tour schedule.

He said: “Montrose is a personal favourite place of mine. I spent a lot of holiday time here as a youngster and I’ve got relatives and friends in Montrose. Skerryvore have played here a couple of times and it’s always been a great night. If we can’t sort out a date in 2012, hopefully we’ll be back in 2013.”

The nearest to Montrose the band will get is Dundee Rep on May 12 before their new album launch in Glasgow on June 22. Skerryvore’s new album, ‘World of Chances’ will be available to buy and download from June 25. The new album is mostly songs and shows more of the range of musical influences within the band, with elements of Cajun, Country and even pop in there, alongside the more recognisable Skerryvore style. Some of the songs will be previewed at Dundee. Tickets from Dundee Rep box office on 01382 223530 or visit www.dundeerep.co.uk
