Debut at Monikie

IRISH country singer Joe E Hamilton is in concert in the Monikie Hall, Monikie this Saturday evening.

Joe is well established as an Irish country singer and has the most beautiful voice.

He was of the first Irish country bands to tour Scotland around 30 years ago. At that time Joe was known as Joe E Hamilton and the High Chaparrals.

Joe then changed the band and toured as Joe Hamilton and Footloose. Joe’s current CD album is titled Country Love Songs with 12 tracks including; You’re a Lady, When I Dream, The Village Where I Went To School, Some Days are Diamonds etc.

Joe has a beautiful version of I Bet You My Heart Will Love You where he yodels in the song and this clearly reminds us that Joe is as good as Slim Whitman in this particular track.

Joe hasn’t toured in Scotland for some years and this is his only Scottish tour. The band isn’t as big as before but Joe brings his very talented keyboard player from Newton Stewart who is also a great vocalist and they are joined by a lady drummer.

This is a new act at Monikie Hall but Joe has been around the music business for a long time.

It starts at 8 pm on Saturday, November 5.

Doors open at 7.15 p.m. Tickets priced £12 are available from 01382 350250 or email
