FOLLOWING on from a hugely successful gig with Midge Ure in Glasgow earlier in the year, acclaimed singer/songwriter Cole Stacey alongside virtuoso international multi-instrumentalist Joseph O’Keefe are returning to Scotland on October 27.
They will be in concert at Bank Street Gallery in Kirriemuir at 7.30 p.m. as part of string of shows which will encompass Scotland, England and France as they prepare to release their full new studio album ‘On Hire’.
They have toured the UK with headline shows and gigs with Cara Dillon, Martin Simpson and Lau to name but a few as well as previous appearances at ‘Acoustic Festival of Britain’ and Glastonbury Festival.
Acoustic Magazine described them as “Quality musicianship and passion in equal measure...delightfully strong”. Prior to their visit to Kirriemuir they said: “We have been overwhelmed by the support whenever we’ve visited Scotland and its incredibly thriving acoustic music scene.
“It’s a privilege for us to come and play at the wonderful Bank Street Gallery”.
Described by Steve Knightley (Show Of Hands) as “an impassioned and ambitious young songwriter” Cole Stacey hails from Devon.
His rapidly growing reputation has led him to have opened sell-out shows for award winning acts such as Midge Ure, Hayseed Dixie, Cara Dillon and Martin Simpson, had continued airplay on BBC Radio and stations across the world, performed headline tours/shows nationwide and many festivals, including Bristol Folk Festival and Glastonbury. Chagstock and Sidmouth Folk Festival).
In September 2011 he was asked by Acoustic Magazine to perform at The London Acoustic Guitar Show.
