Angus Choral concert

ANGUS Choral Society is performing Brahm’s Requiem, in German, on Saturday, 21 in Brechin Cathedral at 7.30pm.

They will perform in the presence of Mrs Ruth J Leslie Melville, Provost of Angus and Councillor Bob Myles, Leader of Angus Council.

The soloists are Jill Harrison, soprano, Douglas Nairne, baritone with Graeme Stevenson, organist, and chamber orchestra, conducted by Mary Veal, Musical Director, Angus Choral Society.

Tickets are priced £8 for adults and £3 for schoolchildren.

They are available from Angus Choral Society members; Brechin Cathedral office; Adagio Music, High Street, Brechin; The Hardware Shop, St David Street, Brechin; Drapes and Dreams, High Street, Brechin or at the door on the night.

In addition to the Brahms choral members are singing two Bruckner motets; Griegs”Ave Marie Stella”; “O rejoice that the Lord has Arisen”, the Easter Hymn from Cavalleria Rusticana by Mascagni.
