A MUSIC and Fun Evening is being held at Tannadice Church on Friday, October 19, to raise funds for the work of Operacion St. Andres, which supports the people of Callique a shanty town on the mountains on the outskirts of Lima, Peru.
The evening will feature the local talents of the Northmuir WRI Choir, ballads from Davina Farquharson, and songs from the shows from music student Zoe Innes.
Country and Western will feature the Wee Mac’s Song Group and debut solos from Julia Murrie will complete the musical programme. The ‘Fun’ side of the show will feature Kirrie the Fit (Bob Wallace and Allan Thomson) who will bring their brand of local humour to the proceedings. Bill McDonald from Forfar will host the evening with a mixture of stories and music.
Tickets costing £5 can be obtained from Nancy Davidson on 850345 or at the door on the evening of the concert which commences at 7.30pm.
Refreshments and light snacks will be served during the interval and are included in the entry charge.
The organising committee is looking forward to the support of all to assist to raise funds for this charity whose representatives in this area are Dr John Gilmour and his wife, Karen, from Kirriemuir.
