Ceilidh for the arts

ANGUS Arts is hosting a fundraising ceilidh at the Stracathro Hall, Inchbare on Friday, August 19 at 7.30pm.

The event includes a pot luck picnic and music from some of Angus’ finest young musicians, The Barrack Brothers with Skirdechal.

Bonnie Aspinwall, who has recently joined the committee, said: “We have no permanent funding and depend on different sources such as ticket sales and grants so a fund raising event is vitally important for keeping the charity going. We’ll be having some great music from Skirdechal, a fantastic young group created by Angus Council Youth Music Initiative and from The Barrack Brothers, Ewan and Kerr, who between them play a large number of instruments. We’re inviting everyone to bring food and drink to share in a pot luck picnic to start the evening and there will be some brilliant dance music from Kerr and Ewan. We hope lots of people will come to help keep Angus Arts on the road”. The ceilidh starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are £4 and can be bought by phoning 01356 648 669, 670 304 or emailing angus.arts@btinternet.com
