Tours of Hospitalfield

A series of open days has been organised for the new year to help raise funds to sustain the future of Hospitalfield House in Arbroath as a centre of art and culture for Angus and beyond.

December’s open day attracted almost 500 visitors, raising almost £3,000 to support the Grade 1 listed building.

In addition to quarterly open days, a monthly series of First Wednesday Tours will be launched in March led by volunteer guides.

The tours will cost £5 per person and will run from 2.40 pm to 4.30 pm. Afternoon teas will be available and it is hoped they will prove popular for local organisations, groups and companies. One of the first events in the new year is a literary Sunday lunch workshop on January 22 with prize-winning Angus writer Lydia Robb. Lydia, who is well-known for her work with writing groups, will lead the workshop from 1 to 3.30 pm. Tickets, which include lunch, cost £10 and can be booked via friends@hospitalfield.org Full details of further events are available from hospitalfield.org.uk
