SCOTS Makar Liz Lochhead will be at Dundee Rep Theatre on Thursday, November 3 in conversation with Dundee Rep’s Artistic Director James Brining.
Liz will talk not only about her current play Mary Queen of Scots Got Her Head Chopped Off, a co production between Dundee Rep Ensemble and the Royal Lyceum Theatre, Edinburgh but her many other projects including her appointment as our National Poet.
Mary Queen of Scots Got Her Head Chopped Off is widely considered a modern Scottish classic re-telling the well-known story of the life and death of Mary Queen of Scots and runs at Dundee Rep Theatre from Wednesday, October 19 until Saturday, November 5.
During her career Liz has been described variously as a poet, feminist playwright, translator and broadcaster but has said that ‘when somebody asks me what I do I usually say writer’.
