TWO romantic tales will be re-told at His Majesty’s Theatre, Aberdeen over the next fortnight.

Showcasing sumptuous designs from award-winning designer Antony Mcdonald, this vivid reworking of the much-loved fairytale is transported to a decadent Vivienne Westwood-meets-Andy Warhol 18th century France, swept up on Prokofiev’s romantic score, performed live by the Scottish Ballet Orchestra.

This is followed the following week when Disney’s Beauty and The Beast opens on Wednesday, January 26, running until Saturday, January 29.

Phoenix Theatre presents one of the most enchanting stories ever told in Disney’s multi-award winning musical.

Adapted from the Oscar-winning animated feature film, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast features glorious music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice and book by Linda Woolverton; this Disney classic is a burst of theatrical magic for the entrie family.
