Puppet festival

THERE will be puppets galore in April when Angus Arts holds its popular festival of puppets and theatre at the Stracathro Hall, Inchbare.

The local charity has put together a packed programme of events to co-incide with the school holidays, beginning on Friday, April 1 with “By The Seat Of Your Pants” .

The show begins at 7 pm and is suitable for children aged seven plus.

There will be a puppet-making workshop on Friday, April 8 from 2 pm, followed by a show at 7 pm of The Last Miner (Tortoise in a Nutshell).

This is suitable for children aged seven and over.

The puppet workshops continue over the weekend.

On Saturday, April 9 Angus Arts will run a workshop which will begin at 11 am, followed by a performance of The Snow Queen by the Folding Theatre Puppet Company at 3 pm (suitable for children over five).

On Sunday, April 10 there is another workshop with Angus Arts at 11 am followed by Cloud Man (Ailie Cohen) at 3 pm (5+ and their families) and on Monday, April 11 there are two workshops entitled Shadows with Angus Arts

at 11 am and 2 pm
