AN insight into the artistic development of students through art college is on display at an art exhibition which opened at Montrose Library on Monday evening.
“Something Palatable” will feature the work of three art students - Sharon Mottram, Siobhan Morison and Amanda Lambert who first met at Dundee College.
Their friendship continued as they progressed into Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design where they have completed their first year studies.
They explained: “In general, artists wait till after graduation to exhibit their work outside of college.
“We believe that sharing and recording our journey could inspire others and in turn teach us more about ourselves and the business we are in.
“The exhibition at Montrose Library consists of work inspired by the experimental nature of our first year.
“Our art is very different so we feel we can provide something for everyone to enjoy.”
The exhibition officially opened to the public on Tuesday and runs until August 26.
The opening hours co-incide with the library’s - Monday 9.30 - 8 pm; Tuesday, 10 to 6; Wednesday, 9.30 to 8; Thursday, 9.30 to 6; Friday, 9.30 to 5; Saturday, 9.30 to 5 and Sunday closed.
