New colourful exhibition at Whitehills

Patients, staff and visitors at Whitehills Health and Community Care Centre in Forfar will be able to enjoy a new exhibition showcasing a variety of colourful artworks by Auchmithie artist Rikki Craig.

A selection of 19 original paintings featuring scenes from Venice and Florence in Italy, Auchmithie themed landscapes and floral still life are providing a new eye-catching display which is on view at the centre during October and November.

Rikki uses a variety of media including oil, acrylics, pastel and watercolour.

As well as the original paintings there are a number of prints of the artworks available for sale.

Rikki studied drawing and painting at Edinburgh College of Art and, after completing a teaching diploma, moved to Auchmithie in Angus in 1975.

He has exhibited locally in Angus and Dundee and at other locations across Scotland.

Exhibitions at the centre are changed every eight weeks and artists donate 20% commission on all sales to the Whitehills Arts & Environment Fund. All money raised is used to enhance Whitehills environment for patients, staff and visitors.
