There is still time to see No Place by artist Anna Geerdes in the latest exhibition currently running at The Meffan in Forfar.
The exhibition features paintings which originate from both observation and imagination.
Landscapes find their imaginary form in map fragments and in close scrutiny of the surface; the places where cracks can appear suddenly and where we might, or might not, glimpse what lies beneath.
The exhibition runs until Saturday, July 28. It will be followed by Northern Monsters by Dundee-based artist Trevor Gordon.
Primarily a sculptor, Trevor has a fascination for storytelling, concealed truths and the fragile facades of modern life. He places sculptures that have an unearthly quality in familiar domestic environments with the intention to disturb the viewer into creating their own narratives. Northern Monsters opens at the beginning of August. The Meffan is open Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 5pm, admission free.
