The spring brochure for the Caird Hall, Dundee has been dropping through letter boxes throughout Angus, giving a taster to what is on offer.
In the foreword Susan Gillan, Caird Hall manager, said: “It’s time to celebrate spring and what better way than to attend some of our wonderful shows?
“Our popular programme of events has a wide range on offer, from ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ stars Anton Du Beke and Brendan Cole with their fabulous shows, to Lesley Joseph in ‘Hot flush’.
“You can celebrate St Patrick’s weekend with The Fureys and Davey Arthur and so much more.
“Look out for all of the concerts which are part of the new ‘Springfest’ - a festival of classical music which includes a super programme of concerts for both adults and children.

The new season gets off to a toe-tapping start with Anton Du Beke’s ‘Ballroom to Broadway’, featuring special guest Summer Strallen on Friday, February 14.
The Scottish Ensemble will perform ‘Love and War in Bohemia’ on Saturday, February 22 followed by author, musician, broadcaster and raconteur Tom Morton and his ‘Malt & Barley Revue’ on Thursday, February 27.
The Royal Scottish National Orchestra will feature conductor Thomas Sondergard conducting Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony on Wednesday, March 5 followed by The Fureys & Davey Arthur on Friday, March 14.
Brendan Cole, one of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’’s most charismatic choreographers and performers, brings his ‘Licence To Thrill’ show to Dundee on Sunday, March 16 whilst Verdi’s ‘Aida’, hailed as the grandest of all operas, will be performed by the celebrated Chisinau National Opera and National Philharmonic on Tuesday, March 18.
The RSNO is back on Thursday, March 27 when conductor Peter Oundjian leads the orchestra in what promises to be one of the real highlights of the season. The enchanting Ingrid Fliter joins Peter in Beethoven’s most personal piano concerto, Concerto No. 4 with the programme also featuring R. Strauss’s Ein Heldenleben.
Children Classic Concerts’ present ‘Junk Trunk’ on Saturday, March 29. Percussion superstars Owen and Olly and friends will be drumming up a storm with the latest showstopper.
‘Swan Lake’, the most popular of all classical ballets, will be performed by Moscow Ballet- La Classique on Monday, March 31. The company will demonstrate its continued quality of dance and performances in a dramatic production of this timeless favourite set to Tchaikovsky’s superb score.
‘The Solid Silver 60s Show’ is in town on Friday, April 4. Now in its 29th year the show reunites Brian Poole and The Tremeloes and features the unforgettable talents of Chris Farlowe, Chris Montez and Wayne Fontana, all backed by Vanity Fare.

The British Comedy Award’s Queen of Comedy Sarah Millican’s ‘Home Bird’ show is sold out for Wednesday, April 9 with Britain’s best-loved psychic Sally Morgan on stage the following evening.
The spring programme concludes with the NYOS Symphony Orchestra’s ‘A Commonwealth Celebration’ on Friday, April 18.
