A group of friends who met while on a course at Dundee College will hold their first art exhibition later this month.
The six women who hail from Montrose, Bridge of Cally, Perth, Pittenweem, Newport and Dundee - the oldest of whom is in her 70s - have completed their part-time studies in contemporary art practice at the college.
Dundee resident Felicia (Fela) Helmore (63) said she cannot wait for the exhibition to open on Monday, August 22, running to Saturday, August 27 at the Dundee Botanic Garden visitor centre on Riverside Drive.
She said: “We didn’t want to lose touch after college. This is our opportunity to show what we can do and we intend to continue - this is not our only exhibition but our first.”
The exhibition will feature fabric landscapes and collages and is a mix of around 45 pieces.
