Three top comedians are all set to perform live on stage at the Webster Memorial Theatre, Arbroath on Saturday (September 14).

Junior Simpson, Ro Campbell and Tony Vino will provide a night of non-stop laughter, with Tony acting as MC for the evening.

Having survived being called “the new Lenny Henry” (The Times), lapsed choirboy Junior Simpson is a true star of both the black comic firmament and far beyond.

A true observational comic, Simpson finds his humour in the everyday and humdrum with anecdotes of his world travels as a comedian adding a personal originality to his set.

A familiar face from TV, from the likes of The Real McCoy and as a regular panellist on Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Junior has also worked with Jo Brand, Frank Skinner and Jonathan Ross and played a major role in the 2003 film Love Actually.

Ro Campbell has a string of accolades to his name.

He has been voted Scottish Comedian Of The Year Finalist 2009 and 2007 and was winner of the Big Tickle Comedy Festival Competition, Northern Ireland, 2005.

UK based Aussie Ro Campbell has spent five years honing his craft by gigging all over the UK, Ireland, Europe and beyond. He has performed at the last five Edinburgh Fringe festivals and made The Scotsman’s pick of Best Jokes of The Fringe in 2009.

Ro has also performed at Melbourne International Comedy Festival and the Adelaide Fringe and has written for TV and Radio. Twelve people in the Outer Hebrides once saw him perform on BBC’s Gaelic language channel!

Preston’s very own funnyman Tony Vino has been touring the comedy scene since early 2005. Well aware of social and political issues, he mixes friendly well thought out observational humour with audience interaction and quick witted responses. A finalist in 2006 Funny Bones competition, Tony has enjoyed recognition as a comedian and comedy compere of renown.

The show at the Webster Memorial Theatre begins at 8 p.m.
