FORFAR Dramatic Society members are in final rehearsals for their latest production which runs this month at the Strathmore Cricket Club in the town.
From Tuesday, November 13, to Friday, November 16 they will perform ‘The Factory Girls’. It tells the story of five women facing the threat of redundancy, who stage a lock-in in a shirt factory in County Donegal.
While the play tells the story of the little guys standing tall together, the story is more about women at work in a dark, damp and dismal factory setting accompanying the routine of examining and folding with chatter.
This runs from bitching about the factory’s increasing demand for greater speed in the face of declining business to talk about movies stars, to bad mouthing each other and frequently erupting into angry confrontations
The show begins at 7.30 p.m. nightly and tickets, priced £8 (£6 concessions) are available from 07783 481 259 or e-mail email@example.com The Strathmore Cricket Club is in Graham Crescent, Forfar.
