Strathmore Under-18s played a development game against Mackie to help both sides in a week when neither team had league games.

In a highly entertaining game played with commitment and real spirit, the match had 15 tries, ten for Strathmore and five for Mackie.

Some of the Strathmore players took turns to help Mackie as numbers were low during the three 20-minute periods to ensure an even game.

Try scorers included Tegan Gibson and captain Ewen Hart with two each. Callum Campbell, Christian Taylor, Cameron Stewart, Mark McQueen, Struan Robertson added tries, with Conor Howden scoring in his first game.

Callum Campbell converted four and Mark McQueen converted two for the home side to emerge victorious 62-29.
