St Thomas swimmers from the Forfar area competed in sessions three to six of the SASA Midland District Championships recently.
Blair Fotheringham, competing in the 13 years age group, won a silver medal in the 100m butterfly, smashing his previous best time, and went on to win a gold in the 100m freestyle.
He went on to leave more personal bests trailing in his wake to win silver in the 100m backstroke and 200m individual medley.
In the 15/16 year age group St Thomas had three finalists in the 100m butterfly, with Dan Baty taking fifth.
In the 100m freestyle, Dan won the bronze medal and the junior champion title.
Dan won another bornze in the 200m individual medley, again taking the junior champion title.
Megan Baty, in the girls 13 years age group, is still struggling to return to form after injury and illness.
However, she still swam close to her personal best times and made finals in the 200m individual medley, 100 butterfly, backstroke and front crawl.
Katie Phillips led the field in the 100m backstroke to take gold and also won gold in the 200 individual medley.
All St Thomas swimmers did well in the 4x 50m freestyle relays. Katie and Megan were both members of the the girls 13/14 girls who won silver.
They were also part of the fourth placed 10-16 years junior team.
Dan Baty was a member of the junior boys A team winning gold and with it the junior championship title, and a member of the gold medal winning boys 15/16 years age group relay.
Blair Fotheringham was a part of the junior boys team who won bronze.
Blair also won a silver medal as a member of the 13/14 years age group team.
In the medley relay events the girls 13/14 years age group the team, with again both Katie Phillips and Megan Baty, were placed fourth.
Gold medals were won in both the 13/14 and 15/16 years age group.

The junior girls A team of with Katie Phillips and Megan Baty won a bronze medal. Dan picked up another gold in the won gold and the junior champion title in the boys A junior medley relay with Blair taking fifth place in the B junior team.
