The Angus Ladies County Team has, once again qualified for the Scottish County Finals to be played at Hilton Park on September 19-21 having emerged triumphant in the North Divisional Jamboree at Pitlochry last month.

The victorious team is as follows: Lynne Fenton (Carnoustie Ladies), Jacqueline Sneddon (Alyth), Jemma Chalmers (Monifieth), Katie Reid (Monifieth), Angela Campbell (Vice Captain), Heather Munro (Monifieth), Gillian Montieth (Royal Montrose), Jane Grubb (Captain), Ann Ramsay (Kirriemuir) and Jackie Brown (Monifieth).

Angus last won the Scottish title in 2012 for the first time in their 103-year history, and very much hope to emulate that success against teams from East Lothian, Renfrewshire and the Borders.

The county is currently busy raising funds to cover the costs of playing in this national event and are holding a four-person team event on the Ashludie Course on Sunday, July 27 by kind permission of Monifieth Links.

The competition is sponsored by the Links Hotel in Montrose, McKays Jams and Malmaison.

Teams will play in an AmAm format and can be made up of all ladies, all gents or mixed - the entry fee is £40 per team.

In addition, a fund-raising auction is currently running, with a variety of items available on the website, including a four ball on Carnoustie Championship course and a free website designed by Little Voice Communications Ltd.

This is an online auction running on the Angus Ladies County Golf website.

Auction lots are still being sought and anyone wishing to offer an item for auction should email
