IT has been busy at Lintrathen Loch over the last week.

The East of Scotland pairs competition final was fished on Sunday evening with 11 boats out.

The winners were B. Robertson and A. Ramshaw with six fish for 14lbs 4ozs.

Runners-up were Randy Bright and Mick Tarbet with five fish for 10lbs 7ozs.

Later on in the week, it was a SANACC semi-final day with 16 boats on the water.

It was a miserable day but at the end the winner turned out to be Campbell Wilson of Cowdenbeath and District Angling Club with eight fish for 13lbs 7ozs.

Second was Jim Mackie of Moncrieffe AC with six for 11lbs 1oz and third was Sandy Boag of Balbeggie AC with six for 10lbs 12ozs.

Total catch for the day was 114 fish for 197lbs, including one rainbow at 5lbs 8ozs and one at 3lbs 2ozs.

Over the week fish have been quite high in the water, with Midge tips, Sink tips and Slime lines doing best with various Blobs, Dawl Bachs, Crunchers and Cormorants taking fish.

Club results were as follows:- Blairgowrie, Rattray and District, seven boats, 27 fish for 56lbs; Bank of Scotland (East), four boats, 24 for 51 lbs (including one at 3lbs 3ozs)

Individual boats: C. Duncan, five for 10lbs 4ozs; Messrs Cushnie & Patrick, ten for 23 lbs; K. Anderson & D. Tyrie, seven for 14lbs; R. Maxwell & C. Wilson, seven for 15lbs.
