IT’S been a busy spell for Forfar Air Cadets.
In mid-May, seven cadets from 2231 (Forfar) Squadron took part in the Wing athletics competition.
Competing against other Squadrons from north-east Scotland wing, the weather held out for the day and all the cadets had a great day taking part in their events.
Of the seven cadets, three came home with five medals between them.
Cadet Sergeant Michael Rose won gold in 100m and long jump, Cadet Iona Townsley won gold in discus and silver in shotput and brother Cadet Lewis Townsley won gold in discus.
The cadets who won medals on that day then went forward to compete as part of the Wing against the four other Wings in Scotland and Northern Ireland Region.
This competition took place at Grangemouth Stadium on June 3.
The competition was tough throughout and the Wing came third overall on the day, helped along by further wins from Cadet Sergeant Rose in long jump and Cadet Townsley in discus.
