Lowson progressed into the fourth round of the Bremner Cup after a hard game which they deserved to win with the players giving full commitment during the match.
The home team began on top and created some decent chances with a Massie shot going over the bar. Howie and Hampton had efforts cleared by the Claypotts defenders.
On the 20 minute mark a great cross by Crighton was volleyed goalwards by Howie for ‘keeper Seaton to bring off a tremendous save to put the effort over the bar.
With Claypotts struggling to trouble the home defence Lowson scored with Crighton shooting past Seaton after some good play by him on the half-hour mark.
The home team missed a great chance to score a second when a Hampton header was saved with the ball landing at the feet of Duncan who somehow blasted his shot over the bar just on half-time.
Lowson lost a soft goal soon after kick-off with a forward heading past Munro.
With the match going from end to end Lowson was looking the most likely to score the next goal.
Hampton got clear with just the ‘keeper to beat his lob which just slipped past the post.
With another three efforts by Howie, Suttie and Crighton saved by Seaton, Lowson got the winner with Nicoll scoring from the penalty spot after Hampton was brought down in the box.
