Lowson were defeated in this North of Tay cup tie with the players disappointed with their display against a hardworking Alyth side.

Lowson started the better team and created some decent chances when a Suttie corner was headed over by Howie and a good run by Crighton saw his effort go wide.

Alyth created a chance with Munro saving well. Patullo sent a great cross into the box with no Lowson players getting a touch for a certain goal.

After 25 minutes Alyth scored a cross that was headed in towards goal before Munro saved another three efforts.

Half-time arrived with no more scoring and the home manager was asking for the players to raise their game in the second half.

They scored early on when a Howie cross was fired home by Duncan with the referee giving offside.

With 60 minutes gone a Suttie corner was headed home by Howie for a deserved equaliser. With Lowson on top and looking to score again Alyth scored when a forward headed home a free-kick with 20 minutes to go.

With Lowson playing three up front the Alyth ‘keeper made a tremendous save from a Massie shot heading for the top corner.

Lowson should have scored when Duncan headed a Smith cross right at the ‘keeper for a good chance missed. With Lowson pushing forward Alyth made two good chances in the last minutes of the game with both efforts going wide to progress into the fifth round.
