Final transfer business for Loons

Forfar Athletic have completed the signing of 18-year-old Gregor Fotheringham on loan from Rangers till the end of the season.

The Falkirk-based youngster can play either in the back four or midfield and will hopefully prove to be a useful acquisition to Dick Campbell’s first team pool.

Club Chairman Alastair Donald and Secretary David McGregor travelled to Murray Park to complete the paperwork after attending the SFL Meeting at Hampden where plans to move Scottish football forward were on the agenda.

Meanwhile, David Scott, former Brechin City goalkeeper who signed for the Loons last close season has been released from his contract.

With the signing of Darren Hill, David faced the prospect of being only third choice custodian for the rest of the season and he leaves with the best wishes of all at Station Park for his future.
