FACTORY CUP FINALS DAY AT LOCHSIDE
FINGERS are crossed that the sun will shine on the lochside this coming Sunday afternoon - to allow the 2010 six-a-side Factory Cup competition to be completed.
Fifteen teams set out in quest of the silverware one Sunday in late June, and things were progressing well in glorious weather until, with the competition down to the last four, a tea-time downpour put paid to any further action.
The action will recommence this Sunday from 2 pm, with The Rugby Club meeting Beald Oot, Get Loose in the opening semi-final.
Six on the Beach will then meet Bar Central in the second semi at 2.45 pm.
The play-off for third place will commence at 3.30 pm, with the final starting at 4.15 pm, followed by the presentation of prizes.
The initial June date attracted a bumper crowd and hopefully there will be plenty of support at the lochside this Sunday, to cheer the four remaining sides on in their quest to become Factory Cup kings for 2010.
