BRAIN TEASER AS CRICKET JUNIORS GEAR UP FOR NEW SEASON
IT'S almost time again for the annual Strathmore Junior Cricket Quiz, which will take place in the clubhouse on Saturday, February 27 at 7.30pm.
The quiz is open to teams of four (maximum), with an entry fee of 10 per team, which includes entry to the disco which follows on immediately.
Anyone wanting to attend the disco can do so at a cost of 3. The disco will begin at approximately 9.30 pm
This will be the fourth year that the junior section has organised a quiz, with each more successful than the last.
These events have proved to be very popular social events for cricket club members and friends of junior cricket in the town.
They also raise valuable funds for the junior section, which allow it to go on investing in improved equipment and coaching.
Last year's fund-raising efforts have enabled the junior section to invest over 1000 in equipment, including a video camera.
It has also helped to ensure that coaches' qualifications are up to date and coaches continue to develop their knowledge and skills.
