Football fun day to be held at Station Park

Forfar Boys Football Club are holding an afternoon of football fun on Saturday (May 25) with all at the club invited to take part.

Forfar Athletic recently held their End of Season awards with Iain Campbell picking up most of the prizes. 
Campbell was awarded the trophies for Away Player of the Year, Player of the Year and Players Player of the Year. 
Gavin Swankie picked up the award for Top Scorer.
Danny Denholm was awarded the Young Sky Blues Player of the Year.

FORFAR Athletic launched themselves into the First Division play-offs with a stunning 2-1 win over Ayr United on Saturday, writes Sarah McLean.

SKILLS CAMP: Strathmore Under-16s had five players selected to attend the Under-15 Scottish Rugby Skills Camp at St. Andrews last week. Ewan Maguire, Jack Wilson, Mike Baldie, Angus Fairlie and Murray Fairlie took part in the skills camp as part of the SRUs Player Pathway programme.

Strathmore Under-16s had five players selected to attend the Under-15 Scottish Rugby Skills Camp at St Andrews last week.

Honorary membership

Iain Ritchie was made an honorary member of Forfar Indoor Bowling Club at the recent annual general meeting, in appreciation of the time and energy he has devoted to the club and in recognition of his running of the Loons’ Lottery, raising thousands of pounds for the club.

LAST Saturday, Forfar Sailing Club held the first of its two Open Days this year, and welcomed several newcomers to sailing as well as diners to its tearoom.
