FORFAR Athletic go into yet another weekend break from league action, this time on the back of two defeats in quick succession.

And, when they return to action a week on Saturday they will face the current league leaders at Station Park.

The Loons are currently nine points adrift of the pace-setting Lichties eight games into the new campaign, and the derby match on Saturday, October 15 will mark the quarter-point in the campaign.

Forfar had hoped to bounce back from a real off day at home to Dumbarton a week past Saturday when they made the short trip across the Tay to take on East Fife on Saturday past.

Three times they found themselves trailing to the Fifers and three times they clawed themselves back to level terms only to lose out to a fourth strike by the home side seven minutes from time, having had goalkeeper Adam McHugh sent packing for what was deemed a professional foul (see report on page 31).

Hopefully the break will see them return refreshed.
