FORFAR West End suffered an Arsenal at the weekend, being hit for eight by last season’s East Super League champions Bo’ness United.

It wasn’t the start West were looking for, but it was always going to be a difficult game. And it was made even more so by the fact that the manager had only eleven players available to him.

This coming Saturday, Forfar West End host Musselburgh in the league (kick-off 2.30 pm).

In the East North League, Kirrie Thistle defeated Forfar Albion by three goals to one.

Goals from Darren Neave and Ian McKenna gave Thistle a comfortable interval lead, only for Mark McIntosh to pull a goal back on the hour mark.

However, with 14 minutes to go, Stuart Russell restored the Kirrie advantage to make sure the points stayed at home.

This coming Saturday, Kirrie Thistle are at Arbtroath Vics while Forfar Albion play host to Dundee North End.
