Forfar travelled south for a tough away fixture against old rivals Hibs without the services of skipper Murron White.

They were also without Dana Macfarlane, Chloe Dunn and Heather Royle but again included the Under-15s Sydney Cairns in their ranks.

Forfar were playing with the wind swept forward from the start and got the opener through Amy Gallacher who lofted a long ball from Jade Mclaren over the keeper’s head. Laura Parsley soon doubled the lead and Hibs were struggling to get out of their own half.

Lindsey Dunbar added the third and on another day could have got a first half hat-trick as Forfar continued to create chances.

Any thoughts that Hibs would fight back in the second half were dispelled when Gallacher blasted home from a Kayleigh Brough indirect free kick. Gallacher completed her hat-trick and Kayleigh Noble got the sixth as Forfar got back on track in impressive fashion after a run of disappointing results.

A fine team performance with a special mention for Lori Allan who won header after header in defence.
