New signings

FOLLOWING their first training session in preparation for the new season, the ‘Loons’ management team confirmed three more signings - including the return of an old favourite.

After a lengthy spell with neighbours Brechin City, midfield player Kevin Byers returns to the fold having been originally signed by Neil Cooper from Inverness Caledonian Thistle back in 2001.

Joining Kevin at Station Park on a one year deal is experienced former Scotland striker Stevie Crawford. Crawford spent the second half of last season at Cowdenbeath after being relieved of his duties as player/manager at East Fife.

Midfielder Kevin Motion, who spent the last two seasons at Stenhousemuir, will also join Forfar this season on a one year deal.

The new signings have boosted the pool numbers to 16 but manager Dick Campbell intends to bring in a few more before the opening games in late July. It is a possibility that Campbell will make a couple of loan signings and bringing in a second goalkeeper remains a priority.
