In the Farmington League Cup derby ,the Meerkats came out on top.

Suzanne Stirling and Cara Clark gave The Flyers a 2-0 lead, but the Meerkats took hold of the game, and four goals from the impressive Steffi Simpson stunned The Flyers.

When Rovers took the lead in three minutes, The Wildcats knew they were in for a test, but in the 12th minute Taylor McEwen deceived the Rovers’ keeper with a low shot to level.

Just before half-time, the referee gave a penalty handball and Derrian Gollan stepped up to score.

Into the second half, Gollan made it 3-1 after good wing play from Sturrock; then roles were reversed with Gollan setting up Sturrock to chip past the ‘keeper.

Raith managed to pull two back, before Sophie Young got a deserved goal.

Rovers again pulled one back to make it a tense final few minutes for the Wildcats to hold on for the win.
