LOCALS have been urged to ‘drink it, crush it, score it’ in the launch of Scottish Football League (SFL) Cans for Youth Teams initiative.
Forfar’s football fans and community members are being urged to pitch in and do their bit to score a share of cash for their local youth team as IRN-BRU and the SFL unveiled a £70,000 investment to help fund the future development of Scottish football.
The IRN-BRU Cans for Youth Teams initiative will award each of the 30 clubs in the SFL a share of £70,000 – the more IRN-BRU cans collected, the larger the share they will receive. A top prize of £10,000 will be awarded to the team with the most cans recycled in each division.
Cans for Youth Teams collection bins will be placed around Station Park, making it easy for fans attending a game to drop in their used cans of IRN-BRU before the cut off date of May 5.
The IRN-BRU bus will also visit every SFL club over coming weeks.
