Forfar Boys Football Club are on a high after some superb team performances over the course of the weekend.
Drew Brannan’s Under-14 team beat Carnoustie in the Mac Brown Cup semi-final at Dawson park with a superb 8-1 win and sent them flying into their first cup final.
Colin Gray’s Under-15 team were playing Broughty at Drumgeith in the J. Bolton Cup semi-final and also cruised to their first final with an outstanding 8-1 win.
Barry Quinn, club chairman, said: “I cannot emphasise enough how big these wins are for both teams and the club.
“To have any team in a final is the stuff dreams are made of, but to have two is a sign of the outstanding work everyone is doing at this club and the effort everyone is putting in.
“Our seven-a-side teams have an 80 per cent win rate and our 11-a-side teams are all flying high in the league with the Under-15s actually top after 12 wins and one loss all season.
“This is a long-term development we are working on but we have to celebrate successes like these.”
