THE fund-raising efforts of Forfar Farmington Football Club have been boosted, thanks to the presentation of a cheque which has enabled the club to purchase a mini-bus.

The club was given £9,258 from the proceeds of the charity shop and bingo teas run by a group of ladies led by Davina Lewis, wife of vice-chairman Charlie Lewis.

The club wishes to thank all those who donated goods for sale at the charity shop and also players and parents who donated sandwiches and cakes for the bingo tea. All money donated was used to purchase the mini-bus and all surplus money will be spent on the up-keep of the clubhouse.

Chairman Colin Brown said: “On behalf of Farmington Football Club we would thank each and every one who helped in any way.”
