Forfar Athletic chairman Alastair Donald is confident in his manager’s ability to make up for a gap in spending power compared to the Loons’ fellow League One clubs.

Mr Donald admits that the club is unable to match what some other outfits in the league are paying players but says that Dick Campbell’s powers of persuasion will continue to bring the right players to Station Park to make the club a success on the park.

The chairman said: “It’s not for me to say if the players we’re talking to are up to the objectives, the football side is the manager’s domain and I trust his judgement. He’s never let us down. He’s got a proven track record and he will bring the right player to the club at the right time, he always has.”
