Stranraer gaffer Stephen Aitken was disappointed not to take all three points from their visit to Station Park on Saturday.
A Sean Winter strike put the Blues ahead inside the first minute but the away side couldn’t convert further chances.
Dale Hilson pulled one back for Forfar Athletic and Aitken admitted that the point was a good one given the weather conditions at a ground no team relishes visiting - but they could have had all three.
He said: “You’re happy with a point coming here, you’ve got to be. They’re doing really well and it’s always a tough place to come. The conditions were really hard.
“We could have been out of sight by half time with the chances but that’s two tough away games at Brechin and Forfar, if you’re offered four points from six out of that you’d bite the hand off, as any team in the division would.
“We’re a good side, we proved it all last season and we’re proving it again this year. We’ve got a good squad, they’ve done great.
“We told the boys to start all guns blazing because that’s one thing Forfar do.”
