With a good run of results in the past few weeks Lowson players were determined to collect another three points when FC Polonia from Dundee visited Lochside.

Lowson started well and put Polonia on the back foot and created lots of chances with Duncan, Howie and Crighton efforts blocked by some desperate defending and the goalkeeper making some good saves.

With the Lowson defence on top of their game
Polonia had few efforts that troubled Munro in the Lowson goal.

With 10 minutes to go before half-time Lowson received a penalty kick for hand ball and Nicoll scored to put Lowson in at half time leading 1-0.

With five minutes of the second half played Crighton scored a good goal and Duncan added a third shortly afterwards.

A miss kick by Munro was lobbed over the keeper by the Polonia player to pull a goal back.

Crighton scored his second to make it 4-1 and Callum Howie scored two to at last put finishing touches to the end of some very good football played by the team.

With the Polonia defence under constant pressure Lowson created loads of chances and scored again with Ritchie scoring the goal of the game with his shot giving the keeper no chance from outside of the penalty box.

Milne had a good effort blocked by the keepers’ legs.

Cammy Howie scored the eighth goal with a neat lob beating the keeper to finish the scoring.

The Lowson team played some very good football throughout the whole game and should have scored a few more goals on the day.

Best on the day were Nisbet, Ritchie, Massie with Crighton the Man of the Match.

Team: Munro, D. Hampton (Moir), Nisbet, Ritchie, Nicoll, Crighton, Massie, Thompson, Patullo (Todd), Duncan (Cammy Howie), Callum Howie (Milne).
