Cheques from Forfar Road Runners

Forfar Road Runners made a number of cheque presentations at the Lochside Leisure Centre on Wednesday evening.'The club members organise local races every year and for the second year running donating some of the proceeds to benefit local organisations.  'The club had a very successful half marathon in February and the committee organised food for all runners at the end ' out of the donations for providing these refreshments the committee topped the amount up to �100 which was presented to Dave Newdale of the Mountains Animal Sanctuary.'Other donations of �250 were each presented to Hazel Melrose of TCCL, Liz Paterson representing Clova/Strathmore Hospice, Joanne Lockley of Hutches Boarding Rescue and Jim Myles and Kate McFarlane, Forfar Community Bus Trust (Forfarian).  'The club has also o presented a cheque in excess of �600 to the Lucy Wright Fund.
