Archibald brace does the trick

KIRRIE Thistle did well to record a two-nil victory at Blairgowrie on Saturday.

The men from Westview were always in command and won the game courtesy of a brace by Gary Archibald.

Forfar Albion recorded a two-all draw at home to Dundee East Craigie.

Albion twice took the lead, and twice East Craigie hit back to level.

Gary Burke put the Forfar side in front after 20 minutes, and when East Craigie got on level terms, Albion went in front again, this time through Ian Plenderleith midway through the second period.

Daryn Gray scored for the visitors 12 minutes from time.

This coming Saturday there is a dearth of junior action locally.

Forfar West End are in abeyance, Kirrie Thistle Social Club don’t have a game and Forfar Albion are away to Brechin Vics in the league.

The match at Brechin kicks-off at 2.30 pm.
