A TOTAL of 15 swimmers from Forfar Amateur Swimming Club (FASC) took part in the Midlands District Sprints against teams from Dundee and Perth.
Forfar swimmers did extremely well and the club praised them all for a job well done.
Ellie McCallum won silver in the 50 metres breaststroke and reached the finals of the back and free.
Erin Brown gained three bronze medals in the back, fly and free, respectively, and a fourth place in the 100 IM. Jack Green also won a bronze in the fly and made the finals in back, breast and free.
Callum Brown, Gary Nisbet, Lucy Richardson, and Kirsty Richardson also made finals.
Calum Kelman, Mac Whyte, Matthew McSheffrey, Rohan Brown, Zoe Wilmshurst, Niamh McSheffrey, Chloe Reilly and Becky Wilmshurst also swam well clocking up over 30 personal best swims between them.
The younger swimmers deserve particular mention as the age range for the sprints means swimming against older swimmers. A reminder to swimmers that all times should be entered into personal record sheets.
As always, the club extend its grateful thanks to all the helpers - Mike Milne, Dave Brown, Clare McSheffrey, Wilma Richardson, and Mark Green.
