FORFAR Athletic's new manager Dick Campbell has wasted little time in getting the Station Park rebuilding process underway, following his appointment as successor to Jim Moffat.
Hard on the heels of fixing up experienced midfield player Craig Winter, Dick has secured the services of two of last season's squad on new one-year deals.

They are full-back Elliot Smith, chosen as the Young Sky Blues player of the year for 2007-2008, and midfielder Sean Kilgannon.

However, two other out-of-contract Loons stalwarts of the campaign just ended, have opted to continue their careers elsewhere.

Centre back John Ovenstone, the travelling fans player of the year in 2007-2008, has elected to join Stenhousemuir, while midfielder John Fraser is joining the colony of ex-Loons pitching up vamp at Gayfield.

Fraser made 25 appearances for Forfar in his single season at Station Park, and now heads east to join up with Paul Lunan, Alan Rattray and Barry Sellars as Arbroath prepare for life in the Scottish second division.

Meanwhile, Dick Campbell is expected to step up his search to put together a squad of 20 players in time for pre-season training when he returns from a golfing break this weekend.
